You can usually find me hunkered down at a Starbucks or Panera (or any other cafe that offers free wifi, comfortable seating, a steady supply of distractions that I can ignore when I need to, low-key lighting, cheap and good coffee, and accessibility – there aren’t many), scribbling in my moleskine journal or furiously typing on my laptop. If you see me, order me a Soy Vanilla Latte, as I’m probably low, and come say hello. If I’m in the midst of writing, I’ll look distractedly at my work, trying to hurry you along; If I’m seeking procrastination and distraction, I’ll carry on a conversation for as long as you want (possibly longer, as I’m a bit of a talker).

I love rain, and the lyricism of beauty it brings. One of my favorite things is to take a walk in the rain, iPod in ears; it’s like being in another world, or better yet: a movie. So is walking in the snow, I’ve discovered recently, especially when it’s still falling.

I’m always looking for good music suggestions, and can talk about film and books for days. My best friend and I still have hour long discussions/debates about Harry Potter, and it’s one of my absolute favorite things to do.
